The supporting structure of the glass mantle consists of vertically stretched 30 mm strong steel cables which are aligned in horizontal intervals of 3 m along the inner surface of the glass facade. The panes of glass are mounted at certain points onto the cable and are secured by mountings, embedded in the glass joints. The basic construction of the roof consists of 14 steel trusses which protrude beyond the reinforced concrete core. The upper chord of the steel trusses is covered by walk-on glass roofing. There is another walk-on glass surface on a lower chord where all technical components are stored.
